SAN ANTONIO (AP) — An ailing 14-year-old tiger has died at the San Antonio Zoo.

Officials on Friday announced the death of a male Sumatran tiger called Raguno. Veterinarians suspect Raguno had cancer of the spleen.

A zoo statement says Raguno showed signs of weakness and had balance problems. A necropsy determined the tiger died Tuesday of complications due to internal bleeding.

A final cause of death should be released later this year.
