WACO, Texas (AP) — At least 20 people have been charged in an online solicitation investigation targeting adults in Central Texas allegedly seeking children for sex.

The McLennan County Sheriff's Office in Waco says all of the suspects arrested since Oct. 14 are accused of felony online solicitation of a minor. Sheriff Parnell McNamara said Wednesday that detectives went online and pretended to be children.

The investigation led to the arrest of men and women, ranging in age from 19 to 63, from McLennan, Bosque (BAHS'-kee) and Limestone counties. Authorities say the suspects were nabbed while allegedly seeking to meet the minors at sites ranging from homes to fast-food restaurants to discount stores.

Some of the suspects also face charges of evidence tampering and probation violations.
