Discovery Of Body Believed To Be Robbery Suspect

DALLAS (AP) — Dallas police say an apartment resident has reported shooting a robbery suspect who was later found dumped at a gas station and died.   

Police on Thursday sought a man and a woman seen on store surveillance video leaving the man.

No charges were filed against the resident in Wednesday night's fatal shooting of 56-year-old Saeid Ardestani. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Dallas police responded to a call about a man found shot at a gas station. Minutes later officers received a call from a nearby resident who said two men robbed him and he shot one of them.

The resident told police he tried to call 911 but had cellphone trouble. Police believe that's why the resident's call came in after the report of a man found shot.
