Oklahoma Judge Throws Out Protective Order Against Texas Senator Charles Perry
An Oklahoma judge Tuesday dismissed a protective order and case that was issued against Texas State Senator Charles Perry (R- Lubbock) last week according to a spokesman of Charles Perry.
Last week news broke that Cyndi Ortiz, a former political consultant and Lubbock resident, had been approved a hearing for a protective order against Senator Charles Perry.
Ortiz, who now lives in Oklahoma and works as a stripper, had accused Perry of stalking and hacking her computer and phone.
Lubbock County District Attorney Matt Powell said last week that he had asked the Texas Rangers to do an investigation to find out if any crime had been committed against Senator Perry. No word yet on that investigation's findings.
Senator Perry represents Texas Senate District 28, which includes Lubbock and a large number of counties across the South Plains, Permian Basin and Concho Valley.
