HOUSTON (AP) — One person has been killed and two hurt in an early-morning house fire in Houston.  

The Houston Fire Department says the blaze broke out before dawn Friday but was brought under control within an hour.

Investigators are trying to determine what started the fire. A body was located in the burned debris.

The two survivors were found outside the heavily damaged residence. Both were transported to a hospital. Details weren't immediately available on their conditions.

Names of the victims haven't been released.
