COPPELL, Texas (AP) — Retail gasoline prices across Texas are up a nickel this week.

AAA Texas reported Thursday that the average price at the pump has reached $2.62 per gallon. The nationwide average rose 4 cents to reach $2.80 per gallon.

Dallas has the most expensive gasoline in Texas at an average $2.74 per gallon. The association survey found that drivers in Beaumont have the cheapest gasoline at $2.54 per gallon.

AAA market experts believe gas prices are nearing a seasonal high. Officials cite the completion of seasonal refinery maintenance and abundant crude oil supplies.
