Walking Proves Deadly For Two

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Two pedestrians have died after being hit by an SUV as they walked on a North Texas street.   

Fort Worth police say the man and the woman were killed before dawn Monday after being struck while walking on Main Street near Loop 820.

Capt. David McElroy says both victims died at the accident scene. Police say the man's pickup truck was located nearby.

Police say the SUV driver stopped after striking the pair. No charges were immediately filed.
