Donald Trump's ascent to the White House has certainly tested many friendships, but this one looks like it will remain rock solid.

Brenda Dulny, of Lenexa, Kan., voted for Hillary Clinton, while her neighbor, Angelo Mino, was all for Trump. Despite the fact they got caught up in the fervor of the bitter election, they say they plan to remain friends.

It's a story that many of us can relate to: we're bound to know someone we like and respect who doesn't share our political viewpoints.

In fact, Dulny knows this is a teachable moment for others. "I’m hoping people will see that you can go on with your life and be friends no matter what," she said.
