GRANBURY, Texas (AP) — Flooding in North Texas has caused a sinkhole estimated to be about 40 feet across to open up in a supermarket parking lot.

WFAA-TV (http://bit.ly/1FZoVKc ) reports a large piece of the parking lot outside of Brookshire's supermarket in Granbury was washed away during Sunday's storms. Water lines and sewer lines were damaged when the gaping hole opened up.

The Granbury City Council had an emergency meeting at the site of the sinkhole Sunday afternoon to discuss the damage.

Emergency responders searched through wreckage in parts of Texas and Arkansas early Monday after a line of tornados battered several small communities, killing at least two people and injuring dozens of others.
