TYLER, Texas (AP) — An East Texas woman has been accused of going to a movie and leaving her 5-month-old granddaughter in a locked car in the parking lot.

Tyler police say the baby was rescued unharmed Wednesday night. Smith County jail records show 39-year-old Felicia Green of Tyler was being held Thursday on a child endangerment charge.

Police responded to a call about a child in a vehicle. Firefighters unlocked the car and removed the baby, who allegedly was alone for about an hour. Temperatures were in the mid-70s.

Carmike Cinemas personnel helped locate Green, who had been baby-sitting, in a theater. No attorney was listed for the grandmother, who's held without bond.

The baby was released to another relative.

Police didn't immediately say who summoned help or what movie Green was watching.
