CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) — A 26-year-old woman involved in a disturbance with a man at a Corpus Christi bus stop jumped behind the wheel of a police car and drove off as officers ran to catch the man.

Officials say Rachel Vigueria drove the wrong way down a one-way street and finally was caught by other officers Saturday when she stopped and also tried to run away on foot.

Vigueria was arrested on two evading arrest charges and remains jailed after police found she was wanted on an outstanding family violence warrant from Bexar County.

The man in the initial altercation was caught and treated at a hospital after suffering minor injuries when he jumped a fence. The Corpus Christi Caller Times reports (http://bit.ly/1R741vk ) he's expected to be charged with evading arrest.
