HOUSTON (AP) — A man charged in the creation and distribution of videos depicting the torture and killing of small animals, including puppies and kittens, has been sentenced in Harris County to 50 years in prison.

KHOU-TV (http://bit.ly/1TnIF1f ) reports that Brent Justice was sentenced on Monday. Prosecutors say Justice and Ashley Richards produced so-called "crush" videos, which depict women killing small animals and are meant to satisfy the sexual fetish of those who purchase them. Justice and Richards were arrested in 2012.

Richards pleaded guilty to three counts of animal cruelty in 2014 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison on state charges over videos showing her scantily clad and using high heels, meat cleavers and other weapons to kill small animals.
