TXDOT Public Meeting Feb. 9th
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will hold a public meeting regarding the proposed upgrade of US 67 from Loop 306 to 1.4 miles North of US 277 and associated access roads along US 67 in San Angelo, Texas.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, February 9,at the West Texas Training Center, 107 Kevin J Barry Conference Hall, 3501 North US Highway 67, San Angelo, TX 76905. The meeting will be held in an open house format from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., with a presentation at 6:00 P.M.
The purpose of the Public Meeting is to present the proposed project and receive comments. The project seeks to reduce congestion and enhance safety through the provision of grade separations on US 67 at Paul Ann Street and Tractor Trail, continuous access roads from Loop 306 to US 277, and a depressed median between north-bound and south-bound traffic on US 67, resulting in a freeway facility with control of access provided by frontage roads. The proposed improvements will take place within existing TxDOT Right of Way. Maps showing the proposed project location and geometric design will be available for viewing at the Public Meeting. This information will also be available for public inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the TxDOT San Angelo District Office located at 4502 Knickerbocker Rd., San Angelo, TX 76901.
All interested citizens are invited to attend this public meeting. Written comments from the public regarding this project are requested and may be presented for a period of 15 calendar days following the meeting. Written comments may be submitted either in person or by mail to the TxDOT District Office, Mr. John DeWitt, P.E., Director of Transportation Planning and Development, 4502 Knickerbocker Rd., San Angelo, TX 76901. Written comments must be received by February 24, 2017 to be included in the Public Meeting Summary.
