FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) — Fort Hood soldiers and civilian emergency personnel from nearby communities will be training this week in an exercise that could affect travel.

The Central Texas post says the exercise will be held Wednesday through Thursday at sites on and off the military installation near Killeen.

Specific locations for the training have not been released, but motorists in the area are advised to be ready for possible travel delays.

A Fort Hood statement Tuesday said traffic control will be part of the practice.

Loudspeakers will be used to simulate commands that will also clarify the audible instructions are part of the exercise.
