Three Juveniles Arrested after Assaulting San Angelo Man
Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 7:52 pm, San Angelo Police responded to the 1400 block of Volney St for a report of a stabbing.
Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the victim, 36 year old Jesus Carrasco. Carrasco told officers he had been assaulted by three juvenile males and gave the direction he last saw them running. Officers were able to locate the three juveniles in the 200 block of E 12th Street. They were taken into custody without incident.
Carrasco told officers he had been walking down the street when he was approached by the three juveniles. He told Officers the juveniles started to assault him and one of the juveniles pulled out a knife and cut him on the arm and head. Carrasco stated the juveniles assaulted him because he used to be in a relationship with one of the juveniles’ mother. An ambulance was called to the scene to treat Carrasco’s injuries. Carrasco did not receive any life threatening injuries.
Detective Chegwidden with the Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. At the conclusion of investigation, a 13 year old male was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and two 15 year old males were charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. All three juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Justice Center.
