No one likes to feel unsafe on the road whether it's due to highway conditions or reckless drivers. If it's other drivers you're worried about, Texas is a pretty good place for peace of mind. For the second year running Brownsville, Texas was named the safest city to drive by the Allstate America's Best Drivers Report.

There are three Texas cities in the top ten, with Laredo at number five and McAllen at the ninth spot. Other notable cities, Killeen is ranked fifty-fourth and Waco has the seventy-ninth best drivers. With many other cities and towns across the lone star state scattered in the top one hundred.

I think a lot of it is due to the good ole Texas courtesy wave, it calms folks down. I believe every Texan should be taught the wave in drivers ed and those who don't do it need to be fined!

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the report wasn't done when any sort of ice was on the road. Because there's no way I'm on the road with anyone else swerving and slipping. I mean I'm as bad as they come so no judgment here.
