Suspect Shoots at Car After Cell Phone Sale Gone Wrong

A Lubbock woman claims that a man attempted to rob her and shot at her vehicle on Tuesday, February 18th.

The two met through an app in which the victim listed a cell phone for sale. They met at around 7:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Slide Road.

KAMC News reports that the suspect attempted to take the phone out of the victim's hands from outside of her car. The victim then rolled her window up and attempted to leave, but the suspect fired a single round into the vehicle.

An officer found a bullet hole in the driver's side door near the handle, and a bullet in the backseat.

The suspect's identity and whether or not they've been arrested remains unknown.
