DALLAS (AP) — A woman accused of selling driver's licenses to more than 28 illegal immigrants while working at the Texas Department of Safety has been sentenced to 15 months in federal prison.

The Dallas Morning News (http://bit.ly/1MZ9INo ) reports Gloria Adame was sentenced Thursday. She had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to transfer identification documents produced without lawful authority.

According to prosecutors, Adame, who was a driver's license technician in the agency's Irving office, agreed to issue more than 28 state driver's licenses in exchange for different amounts of money from March 2011 to November 2013.

Authorities said she falsely entered information into the system stating the immigrants were either U.S. citizens or living in the country legally.
