The Businessmen & Women’s Bible Class is the oldest religious program continuously broadcasting in Texas; airing since 1932 on KGKL-AM. The service is held each Sunday morning at 9:30am at Rio Concho Manor.
Started in 1928, what was originally known as the Businessman’s Bible Class is one of San Angelo’s oldest religious institutions. In 2019, the organization renamed itself the Businessmen & Women’s Bible Class.
The Businessmen & Women’s Bible Class is non-denominational and is the oldest continuous religious broadcast Texas, airing on 960 KGKL-AM since 1932. Charles Smith leads each week’s service.
In the 1930s, the class included more than 1,000 members and filled the ballroom at the Cactus Hotel.
The class meets at the recreation room in Rio Concho Manor, 401 Rio Concho Drive.
In 2021, the Businessmen & Women’s Bible Class expanded their weekly timeslot on ESPN 960 to Sundays 9:45am-10:30am.
