Lubbock and surrounding areas could see several rounds of severe weather Monday and even late Monday night (May 20th) into Tuesday morning.

According to KAMC, strong and even severe storms could begin Monday morning on the South Plains and last through lunch. Then, later Monday afternoon and evening, another round of storms could kickoff.

According to the National Weather Service, Lubbock County has a "moderate" risk of severe weather, which is the second largest risk. Counties to the east of Lubbock will see the highest chance of severe weather, with the threat level being "high" for those counties.
