San Angelo Police Obtain Arrest Warrants for Robbery Suspects
Detectives with the San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division have obtained Arrest Warrants for two 18-year-old San Angelo men, Desmond Joshua Dixon and Bentley Green for their role in a Robbery that occurred just before 4:00 p.m. in the Marshall’s parking lot, 4001 Sunset Drive on February 17, 2016.
Police were called to the location last Wednesday to investigate the report of a vehicle burglary turned robbery. When they arrived, they located a 40-year-old female victim who was suffering from apparent minor injuries she received when she was struck by the suspect’s vehicle. San Angelo Fire Department Medics responded and treated the victim at the scene.
The victim told Officers she left Marshall’s and discovered an unknown man burglarizing her vehicle. After she confronted the suspect, the man reportedly ran off and got into a nearby red/maroon-colored Honda passenger car that was being driven by another man. The vehicle then struck the victim as it fled the parking lot. Witnesses at the scene confirmed the victim’s story and reported the suspect vehicle was last seen headed towards the Target shopping center.
Investigators later developed Dixon and Green as persons of interest and recovered some of the victim’s stolen property. Subsequent to the investigation, Investigators applied for Arrest Warrants for the pair.
At approximately 12:30 this afternoon, Police located Green at a residence in the 2500 block of N. Van Buren. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with Robbery and another outstanding Warrant.
At this time, Dixon has not been located. If you have any information about Dixon’s whereabouts, call Detective Noel Anderson at (325) 657-4344 or Crime Stoppers at (325) 658-HELP.
