On Saturday, April 2, 2016, at approximately 11:07 p.m., San Angelo Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop at 14th and Volney for a traffic violation but the vehicle’s driver refused to stop.  A short vehicle pursuit ensued and ended when the driver bailed out of the vehicle behind 79 E. 18th Street.  The driver was last seen running east down the alley, then north on Henderson.  Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect.  The vehicle, a gold-colored 2008 GMC Yukon, was allegedly stolen thirty minutes prior to this incident.

During a search of the vehicle, Police located approximately 45 grams of Methamphetamine and just over a gram of Marijuana.

Other evidence recovered from the vehicle led police to believe the driver recently visited a West-To-Go Convenience Store.  Officers responded the West-To-Go located at 7th and Chadbourne and obtained surveillance video of a subject that matched the description of the suspect who fled the pursuit.  The video placed the suspect at the store around 11:01 p.m.

He was described as a Hispanic male, age early-to-mid 30’s, approximately 5’6”-5’7”, approximately 200-210 lbs., tattoos covering both arms and his neck, short black hair, wearing a blue plaid shirt and blue jeans.
