The 2015 Champions Indoor Football (CIF) season concluded this past weekend as the Sioux City Bandits claim the league title over the visiting Texas Revolution. As one chapter ends for the league, the page turns to a new one as the CIF embarks on the 2016 season starting with an announcement of growth.  Mesquite, Texas will host the league’s 11th team in 2016 playing in the historic Mesquite Arena.

In upcoming announcements by team co-owner Doug Bland, several key points will be presented to fans and media including this sneak-peak at the team’s new name, the Mesquite Marshals.  “Bringing a professional indoor football team to Mesquite was a goal of ours since forming the ownership group took over the Mesquite Arena”, stated Bland. “Today’s announcement is another stepping stone towards kicking off the 2016 season for the fans Dallas to East Texas. After meeting with several team owners and attending a few games, we were confident that playing in the Champions Indoor Football league was the perfect fit for both parties involved” said Bland.

The Mesquite Marshals join the league’s Texas Revolution in Allen as a second team in the Dallas Metroplex. The two teams mutually look forward to a rivalry on the field and a supportive relationship in the community. The team will play all of their home games at the Mesquite Arena, located at 1818 Rodeo Drive in Mesquite, Texas.
