SPRING, Texas (AP) — About 200 people have turned out to pray for victims of a Houston-area school stabbing attack that left one teen dead and three wounded.
Harris County jail records show the suspect, 17-year-old Luis Alonzo Alfaro, was being held Thursday on a murder charge. Bond was set at $150,000 for Alfaro, who was captured after the stabbings Wednesday morning inside Spring High School in Spring.
A Friday preliminary court hearing is scheduled in Houston.

A remembrance service was held Wednesday night at Spring Baptist Church. The Rev. Mark Estep says mourners were on hand to pray for the community.

Classes have been canceled through Friday at Spring High School, about 20 miles north of Houston. A statement on the Spring Independent School District website says crisis counselors will be available and additional security will be present when classes resume Monday.
