FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — A man has been arrested after leading police on a slow two-hour chase from Fort Worth to Arlington mostly along Interstate 30 that ended in a crash.

According to a press release, police stopped a car Wednesday as part of a narcotics investigation. A Fort Worth police spokesman said the female driver got out and complied with police.

The spokesman says the suspect, who was a passenger, then drove off.

An armored SWAT vehicle joined the pursuit and pushed the suspect's car, which hit a concrete divider before spinning. The suspect was surrounded by SWAT officers as he tried to climb out of a rear window.

A police news release says that officers seized more than 400 grams of methamphetamine and that the suspect faces felony charges of evading arrest and possession of more than 400 grams of a controlled substance.
