HOUSTON (AP) — A tugboat that capsized on the San Jacinto River near Houston has disappeared beneath the water in an accident that left one crewman dead.

A Coast Guard spokesman says salvage crews were on the scene Wednesday to try to locate and raise the Ricky J Leboeuf.

Coast Guard Petty Officer 1st Class Andrew Kendrick says no fuel spilled from the tug, which had about 10,000 gallons of diesel when it flipped on Tuesday.

Kendrick says officials are trying to determine why the vessel overturned while working with some barges. Security video captured part of the accident.

The name of the man who died wasn't immediately released. Four other crewmembers were dumped into the water but survived.

Traffic was restricted along a stretch of the San Jacinto River during the search.
