With COVID-19 cases continuing to rise in states including Texas the fast food chain is making changes effective Saturday (August 1st) to protect the safety of their employees and customers to ask all customers to wear face coverings while entering their restaurant.

Released in a statement on their website their intentions on this policy is to take an innovative approach and focus on finding a solution when customers are unable or unwilling to wear a face covering.

While nearly 82% of our restaurants are in states or localities that require facial coverings for both crew and customers today, it is important we protect the safety of all employees and customers.

The restaurants top priority is protecting the health of well-being of their employees and customers and are implementing three steps.

  • Requiring customers face coverings in the restaurants
  • Adding protective panels to front-and-back-of house
  • Pausing dining room re-openings for an additional 30 days

Other retail chains like Walmart, Sam's Club has also implemented their customers to wear face coverings as the Retail Industry Leaders Association has written a letter to the Governor's Association asking them to mandate wearing face coverings as COVID-19 cases continue to rise.
