Gardening can be very challenging in west Texas, but good plant selection will make a big difference between success and failure – and the Master Gardeners have some great plants available that can handle the conditions of the Concho Valley.

These plants are tough, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be attractive as well.  Many beautiful and interesting plants will be available at good prices at the plant sale on Saturday, April 1st at 8am.  All plants are locally propagated and grown by the Master Gardeners, and there will be many kinds to choose from, including annuals, perennials, trees, vines, herbs, vegetables and hanging baskets.

The Lonestar 4-H club will also be selling breakfast burritos, coffee and juice, proceeds to benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center.

The sale will run until 12pm or until sold out, and will be held at the Tom Green 4-H Center, located at 3168 N US Highway 67 (next door to the animal shelter).  For more info, contact the Extension Office at 325-659-6528.
