A man blew his stack and went on a verbal rampage when he spotted a woman breastfeeding her baby inside a Target.

Jessie Maher was feeding her baby at a Target in Torrington, Conn., when the man confronted her and told her she was "disgusting."

Maher says, ""Because I am feeding my baby this man is going crazy and I'm shaking." The man also demands a refund because of Maher's action.

Several employees and shoppers came to Maher's side.

Indeed, Maher did nothing wrong. State law allows women to breastfeed in public.

Target released a statement after this episode:

At Target, we want all of our guests to feel comfortable shopping with us. Our breastfeeding policy, which applies to all stores, is just one of the ways in which we support our guests. Guests who choose to breastfeed in public areas of the store are welcome to do so without being made to feel uncomfortable. For this particular incident, the team members at the Torrington store were simply helping to ensure this guest and others had a great experience."

Despite the man's reaction, the scene left a positive impression on Maher. "The amount of people coming at me to defend me was amazing," she said. "Everyone that was right in that area was there for me defending me, so it felt really good."
