FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Fort Worth police say an arrest warrant has been issued for a man who said he found a razor blade in his child's Halloween treat after determining the report was a hoax.

The man will be charged with making a false report, a misdemeanor.

According to a police incident report and police spokesman Sgt. Steve Enright, the man on Saturday told police that his son had gotten a dangerous Halloween treat and told officer who he thought had handed it out.

Enright on Thursday told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram (http://bit.ly/1S2eYhY ) that the person identified by the father provided evidence contrary to what the father told police, including what kind of treats were actually distributed.

Enright says the father eventually acknowledged he'd placed the razor blade in the store-bought treat.
