At their monthly luncheon on Wednesday, May 13, the Home Builders Association of San Angelo (HBASA) presented a check to Hospice of San Angelo (HOSA) in the amount of $12,551.00.

Each year the HBASA chooses a non-profit organization to receive funds raised through the silent auction of its annual Home and Garden Expo.  Through a strong partnership with Suddenlink, the 2015 Expo was held March 21-22 and boasted over 2,200 attendees, 120 exhibitor booths, education seminars and a special appearance by Vern Yip of "Deserving Design with Vern Yip."  The silent auction was the largest to date, allowing more than $12,500 to be given to Hospice of San Angelo in an effort to assist in providing home healthcare for those living with a life-limiting illness and bereavement support for anyone experiencing grief through the death of a loved one.

Hospice of San Angelo is the only locally owned not-for-profit hospice organization in the Concho Valley and no patient is denied care based on inability to pay.  Providing an expert approach to care for those living with a life-limiting illness in the comfort of their own home, and in the company of family and friends, HOSA strives to enhance quality of life by focusing on the patient rather than the illness, ensuring peace, dignity and comfort to all.

The Home Builders Association of San Angelo is a non-profit, professional trade organization comprised of builders and associate members who subscribe to the highest business and ethical practices and who are committed to fostering an environment to help the growth of businesses within the industry.  We believe in the American dream of home ownership and are dedicated to making this dream a reality.

KGKL and Townsquare Media are proud sponsors of the annual Home and Garden Expo.
