When George W. Bush left office as President, he took up a new hobby, painting. Shortly, we will get to see his work as an artist, in a new book to be published by Crown Publishing Group when it goes on sale February 28, 2017.

The book titled, Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors, will feature 66 full-color portraits of veterans along with stories on each of the subjects.

Proceeds from the book's sales will go to the Bush Institute's Military Service Initiative. It's purpose is, to help all veterans of the post 9/11 attacks on the U.S., make that tough return to civilian life.

Over the course of several months, he has painted oil portraits of 98 vets. The actual paintings will go on display at his presidential library, in Dallas in March of next year.
