Angelo State University’s Club Café coffeehouse-style entertainment series will kick off the fall semester with comedian and actor Pete Davidson, the youngest “Saturday Night Live” cast member, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.

Sponsored by the University Center Program Council, Davidson will perform in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center. The doors will open at 7 p.m. with admission prices of $2 for ASU students and $5 for the general public at the door.

The 21-year-old Staten Island native, who grew up watching NBC’s iconic “Saturday Night Live” live comedy sketch show, completed his first season in May. As an actor, he had a role in the movie “Trainwreck,” released this summer.

Davidson was named one of Variety magazine’s top 10 comics to watch for 2014 and he made his late-night standup debut on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” this past spring. His standup comedy has been featured on “Adam Devine’s House Party” on Comedy Central and he has been featured on “Guy Code” on MTV.
