Thursday on The Chad Hasty Show, District 19 Representative Jodey Arrington joined Chad to share information on the coronavirus front, as well as on other issues.

Arrington and Hasty talked about the caution that should be used in reopening businesses while still allowing people to continue to make a living, as well as the USMCA trade deal, and more.

Arrington, while discussing the second wave of Texas bar closures mandated by Governor Greg Abbott, said of the responsibility that should be held by officials who make such decisions,

You can tighten up restrictions and tighten up precautionary strategies without telling people, 'You can no longer make a living, pay your bills, feed your families,'...If that decision is made...[owners] need to be compensated...Whether it's Greg Abbott or Jodey Arrington or local officials, they're getting paid whether this economy is open or not. And that's a dangerous perverse incentive, where we don't have to feel the pain with respect to the decisions we make on our economy.
