The Belles made history as this was the first regional title for the tradition rich program that has always been known for success on the national level.

Uniquely enough the milestone was reached in the 40th year of volleyball at Angelo State University which started playing volleyball on campus in 1976.

The Belles were helped by a very rowdy and loud home crowd that was 1600 people strong and were able to sweep the Metro State Roadrunners 3-0 on the way to the title.

Next up for Coach Waddington and his team will be a trip to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The championship tournament bracket will be announced Monday December 5.
