After 50 Years, Lubbock’s El Chico Restaurant Closes Its Doors for Good

Lubbock has unfortunately lost a long-standing favorite Mexican food eatery.

El Chico Restaurant has closed its doors for good at 4301 Marsha Sharp Freeway, according to Lubbock in the Loop.

They have served Lubbock with fine Mexican food for 50 years, and it's sad to see them close this beloved restaurant. They will be missed.

They will be focusing now on working with Otto's Granary, with a potential upcoming expansion project for this gourmet coffee and gift shop, located just east of El Chico at 4119 Marsha Sharp Freeway.
