GALVESTON, Texas (AP) — A 73-year-old Southeast Texas woman is accused of murder after her husband was shot four times just after midnight on Christmas Day.

Gwendolyn Brown Bailey was being held Saturday in the Galveston County jail on $100,000 bond.

The Galveston County Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/1JAyAWa ) that authorities found her husband, William Bailey, lying on the front porch of their home. He was taken to an area hospital but died there.

Police said in a news release that Bailey told them she shot her husband due to "continuous marital issues and infidelities."

Three grandchildren were in the home at the time of the shooting, though police did not say whether the children saw the shooting.

Gwendolyn Bailey did not have an attorney listed in jail records.
