AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The University of Texas at Austin has lost electricity.

The school on its Twitter account Tuesday morning reported a power outage on campus, but said "classes are still in session."

Further details weren't immediately available on what caused the outage or how widespread the power loss has been at UT, with enrollment topping 52,000.

A statement on the UT website, issued at shortly after 8:30 a.m. CST Tuesday, said utilities were working to bring power back to campus.
