Two Deer Rescued By Game Warden
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (AP) — A game warden has come to the rescue of two deer in Central Texas whose antlers were entangled in a nylon rope that was wrapped around a clothesline pole.
The deer dashed away when the warden with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department used a knife to cautiously cut the rope.
The warden wore a body camera that videotaped the unusual rescue next to some cabins in Comal (KOH'-mal) County. The video shows the warden driving his pickup close to the thrashing bucks.
Officials say the warden had responded to a call about two deer struggling because a rope linked them by their antlers. The rope then became wrapped around the pole.
Agency officials on Friday didn't immediately provide additional information. The video was released Monday.
