EL PASO, Texas (AP) — The bodies of two contract workers have been recovered from a West Texas wastewater treatment plant as investigators try to determine what led to the deaths.  

El Paso Fire Department spokesman Carlos Briano says the victims were located Wednesday at the Bustamante wastewater plant.

Emergency personnel responded to a rescue call about two workers being trapped. Further details weren't immediately released about what the men were doing. Neither worked for El Paso Water Utilities, which operates the plant.

Names of the victims weren't immediately released.
