At approximately 11:00 pm on March 31, 2015, San Angelo Police officers were dispatched to the area of 2401 N. Lille in reference to “shots fired.”

Several callers reported numerous gunshots coming from the parking lots in or around the apartment complex.  Officers arrived to a chaotic scene where a number of witnesses and bystanders directed officers to a vehicle that had been struck numerous times by apparent gun shots.

Officers located the owner of the vehicle who advised that she and a male friend or hers became involved in an altercation.  The male friend left the apartment and shortly thereafter she heard the gunshots.  The victim did not investigate the source of the gun shots and was unaware of the damages to her vehicle until informed of this by police.

Officers identified at least six (6) bullet holes from an unknown caliber of weapon that struck the windshield and sides of the vehicle.  The suspect was identified as a Hispanic male, approximately 32 YOA, 5’5”, 125 lbs (name withheld pending investigation).

The suspect was not located at the scene of the incident.  Police Canines were called to the area but were unable to determine a suitable track in order to locate the suspect.  No one was injured during this incident.

The case was referred to the SAPD detective division for further investigation.
