A 53-year-old San Angelo man is in custody in connection with an early Friday morning stabbing on W. 24th Street.

At approximately 12:46 a.m., San Angelo Police were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of W. 24th Street for the report of a stabbing.  Upon arrival, Officers located a 41-year-old woman suffering from apparent stab wounds inflicted by the woman’s husband, Stephener Paul Frazier.  Officers provided first aid to the woman until Fire Department Medics arrived and transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment.  Her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Officers developed information about Frazier’s possible whereabouts and proceeded to a residence in the 200 block of W. 20th Street.  Frazier was located inside and taken into custody without incident.  The Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit also responded to the scene to assist and conduct follow-up investigation.

Frazier was transported to Police Headquarters for questioning and subsequently arrested for Aggravated Assault Deadly Weapon Family Violence.  Frazier was transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident.
