Tickets are on sale now for one of the City of San Angelo’s most popular annual events – Date Night for fathers and daughters, mothers and sons, and families.

Themed “Denim & Diamonds,” this year’s Date Night will be Feb. 15-18 at the McNease Convention Center, 501 Rio Concho Drive from 6-9pm each night.

Tickets are available for purchase from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays in the Recreation offices in Santa Fe Crossing, 702 S. Chadbourne St. Tickets cost $12 for Daddy-Daughter Date Night on Feb. 15 and 17, and for Mother-Son Date Night on Feb. 16. Snacks from 3 Parrots Taco Shop will be served the first three nights. Tickets for Family Date Night, which will include a catered barbecue dinner, cost $20 each. The event will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night.

Sponsored by the City of San Angelo’s Recreation Division, Date Night gives girls and boys a special night during which they are the sole focus of their parent’s attention. Date Night is aimed at children age 5-12, with the exception of Family Night, which is open to all ages. This year’s event will include the usual Date Night fare: dancing to music by deejay Gus Costancio, photo packages by The Photo Studio, western-themed mementos mostly priced at $3 and less, and a grand prize to be given away each night, including two diamond necklaces from Gordon’s Jewelers. In keeping with this year’s theme, rodeo attire (with bling) is encouraged.
