Retired Judge Shot By Girlfriend Now In ICU
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) — Investigators say the girlfriend of a 70-year-old retired judge has been charged with shooting him in the head while at his Corpus Christi home.
Nueces (nyoo-AY'-sis) County jail records show 41-year-old Trisha Bos was being held Friday on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and injury to the elderly.
Officials at CHRISTUS Spohn (spahn) Hospital Corpus Christi-Memorial say retired Judge Jack Hunter was in stable condition Friday in the intensive care unit.
Corpus Christi police say the shooting happened before dawn Tuesday.
Court records do not list an attorney to speak for Bos, whose bond was set at $500,000 following her arrest Thursday afternoon.
Investigators didn't immediately release a possible motive for the shooting.
