I just found out that Andrew Luck and I have something in common.

Yes, the quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, just like me, uses a flip phone.

He recently shared on Facebook that his mobile carrier had fixed him up with a new phone. Now, you might expect the player who signed the biggest contract in NFL history, back in June, to have the very latest smartphone available. Guess again. What he got was a new flip phone.

In an interview with Tom Pelissero of USA, Andrew gave his reasons for sticking with a flip phone.

“One, I like it. It’s a comfort thing, I think anybody can appreciate that, if you’re used to that. … Two, I don’t think I want to be connected 24/7, and this phone is maybe sort of a reminder that you don’t have to be connected. And it’s nice to get away. It’s nice to turn your phone off.”
Amen, brother! I hear you. I figure if a flip phone is good enough for Andrew Luck, then it's good enough for me.

By the way, just in case you are wondering, in that same interview Andrew did admit he has an iPad.

I don't.
