ROUND ROCK, Texas (AP) — A Central Texas newlywed has been charged with killing her husband who was shot seven times after the couple apparently argued.

Williamson County jail records show 32-year-old Nancy Khan of Round Rock was being held Wednesday on charges of murder, tampering with or fabricating evidence and possession of marijuana.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for Khan. Her bond was set at $2.2 million over the Feb. 27 fatal shooting at the couple's home.

Sheriff's Capt. Fred Thomas says the woman has been accused of shooting her 34-year-old spouse, Ali Khan, five times in the torso and twice in the head.

Authorities are trying to determine what prompted the dispute and whether anyone else was involved.

Thomas says the couple got married Dec. 14.
