We’re still two months away from the official start of summer, but we have our first “summer blockbuster”-type film opening this weekend, along with a smaller, darker crime picture with an absurdly good-looking cast.

In this futuristic, sci-fi thriller, a man discovers that Earth—long since abandoned, following a war with aliens—may hold a few big secrets. Can he figure everything out in time to save mankind?

Directed by Joseph Kosinski

Starring Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne
