DALLAS (AP) — The newest giraffe born at the Dallas Zoo already has millions of online fans.

The days-old female calf was seen Monday with its mother, Katie, in a pen via a live feed from the cable TV show "Animal Planet." The camera has been operating since last week so interested viewers could wait and watch for the birth.

Dallas Zoo officials say the calf was born Friday afternoon, weighing 139 pounds and standing 5 feet, 10 inches. Authorities say the unnamed calf has been running, playing and nursing.

The website, as of Monday morning, already had more than 2.1 million viewings as the calf nuzzled to nurse from its mother. Katie at times leaned over to lick and nudge her baby.

The father is named Tebogo.
