FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Homicide detectives are investigating after the body of a man recently reported missing was found in the trunk of a car towed to a Fort Worth impound lot.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram (http://bit.ly/1Dv2SuL ) reports the Tarrant County medical examiner's office says 39-year-old Bob Brown died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say he was reported missing on Wednesday night. A woman told police she last saw Brown on March 9 when she left for work.

After she didn't hear from him the rest of the day, she called the mother of Brown's child to see if he had picked up the child from daycare. She learned that Brown never made it to the daycare.

Officers were notified Friday that his body was found in a 2002 white Mitsubishi Gallant.
