HOUSTON (AP) — Authorities say a Houston man has been charged in the fatal shooting of a friend whose body was found by the victim's wife using an iPhone app.

Harris County jail records show 20-year-old Tristian J. Porter was being held Friday on a murder charge, with bond set at $50,000.

KTRK-TV (http://abc13.co/1le0a5b ) reported Friday that Harris County sheriff's investigators believe 23-year-old Ramon Acosta was fatally shot during a drug deal.

Acosta's wife, Carla Melendez, discovered the body early Thursday by using her iPhone that was linked to her spouse's device and a tracking app. The victim's phone was near some trees in an area near the body.

Online jail records do not list an attorney to speak for Porter.
